2024 Napa Valley Pinot Noir

The Vineyard: Split between two portions of Carneros, the core fruit comes from a vineyard planted at a low elevation very close to San Pablo Bay. Its clay soils and the constant marine breezes add freshness and acidity to the wine. The second site borders the southwestern edge of the city of Napa. This hillside vineyard, with its different contours, gravelly loam soils, and south-facing aspect, results in more color and concentration.

The Vintage: Vintage 2024 was a textbook perfect vintage in Napa Valley. Heavy rains during winter allowed our reservoirs to replenish and a warmer dry season brought perfect ripeness. Warm temperatures toward the end of August led to an early picking in early September. Fermentation with 10% whole cluster in each block added spicy character and tannin structure to a very perfumy blend.
