This is tasting history with today's precision. Dried-strawberry, cherry and balsamic aromas and flavors. Medium to full body and firm, resilient tannins. Focused and persistent, bright finish. Drink history. Planted in the mid 1970s. Drink now or hold. 400 cases made. James Suckling - JamesSuckling.com, May 3, 2019
A new wine in this range, the 2016 Pinot Noir Clone Martini is very pretty and distinctive. Lifted, aromatically expressive and nuanced, the 2016 Pinot Noir Clone Martini is supurb. Wild aromatics, bright red fruit and mid-weight structure are some of the signatures in this eloquent Pinot Noir. This is a terrifice expression of the Martini clone, which tends to yield intensely aromatic, exotic Pinots. Antonio Galloni - Vinous, December 14, 2018

Moving to the reds and the first vintage for the cuvée, the 2016 Pinot Noir Martini Clone was mostly destemmed and saw 60% new oak. It's smoky, earthy Pinot Noir that has lots of black cherry fruits and autumn forest floor-like aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, fresh, and elegant on the palate, it's nicely balanced and will keep for 8-10 years. Jeb Dunnuck - JebDunnuck.com, January
