When Robert Mondavi chose To Kalon Vineyard in west Oakville as the home for his new winery in 1966, he remarked that it was “a vineyard with a distinguished history and a magical nature. Ideal soils, sunlight, and rain – to my eye, the vineyard was a treasure.” Sourcing for this wine varies considerably from year to year, just depending on the season. The fruit for our 2018 blend came predominantly from two of our To Kalon blocks just to the south of Oakville Grade. These blocks produce amazing fruit that demonstrates the beauty and finesse of To Kalon.
