96 -- JebDunnuck.com -- There are a tiny 100 cases of the 2019 Red Blend Reserve To Kalon, which is an interesting blend of Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, mostly from the Monastery Block in the To Kalon Vineyard. Beautiful red and blue fruits as well as lots of floral and spicy notes define the bouquet, and it's medium to full-bodied, seamless, and elegant on the palate. It's not a blockbuster but shines for its balance, purity, and finesse. Full-bodied with velvety tannins that are drenched in delicious red and black fruit. Complex and structured. Terrific length. This needs a little more time to come together, but will age for as long as you can resist popping the cork. It's full-bodied, rich, velvety and even a bit open-knit, maybe a touch coarse on the finish.
