THE VINEYARD: The largest proportion of this year’s blend is sourced from Stags Leap District, with the remainder from Oak Knoll District, Carneros, St. Helena, and Oakville. The varying meso-climates and soils of these appellations integrate seamlessly in this 100% Napa Valley blend.
THE VINTAGE: The 2021 vintage was excellent and mild. After rains in January and February, the growing season remained dry. Temperatures were moderate and the weather optimal at budbreak in April and bloom in May. Weather remained even through summer and harvest, resulting in a lower-than-average yield of small, deeply concentrated grapes. The final blend was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels (36% new).
