A notoriously challenging variety, Pinot Noir prefers the foggy, wind-swept slopes of the Carneros region in southernmost Napa Valley where the climate helps to retain the aromatic complexity of the grape and bright acidity while advancing flavor development. We selected blocks from the renowned Rancho Carneros vineyard where the wonderfully gnarled, head-trained, dry farmed vines bring weight, depth, and complexity to the wine.
